This film reinterprets the story told in a popular Italian song from the late 19th century.

A girl dances with no rules, following the movement of a spring bird, the blackcap bird. But then the girl meets a man who invites her into a duo dance where he leads the movements, directing a rigid and very intimate ballet between the two. 

During their dance, the blackcap bird re-enters the scene, distracting the ballerina from the ballet duet and driving her to want to follow the bird, but she is stopped by the man.

He, possessive, keeps her from running away and she starts to transform. Feathers are growing all over her body. At the point of exasperation she manages to free herself. She transforms into a blackcap bird and flies away.
